Recumbent Bikes vs Exercise Bikes

Recumbent Bikes:

A recumbent bike is gentler on your lower back and joints. It’s also safer for people with who are physically or mentally challenged, as you can stand up on the pedals. The seat is larger than exercising bikes, which makes them more comfortable. It’s a low impact cardio option, as it distributes your weight over your back and buttocks.

Exercise Bikes:

An exercise bike gives you a more consistent workout. It is more realistic in terms of simulating riding an outdoor bike, as the body position and muscles used are the same. Exercising with this bike will give you more of a full body workout than a recumbent bike. They also typically occupy less space in your home/gym.

The Bottom Line:

Choose which option best fits your needs. And remember, a stationary bike is only beneficial if you use it! Set attainable goals and create a circle of health for yourself for today and tomorrow.
