Get inspired by Crossfit and burn fat

It’s no secret that one of the biggest reasons behind exercising is to burn fat. There are several ways, sports and tactics in order to do so, so in this post we are going to explain to you how to use the elusive Crossfit concepts to help you on that path. Crossfit is as much about its exercises as it is about its philosophy; and you’d be surprised how much of it can be apply to other areas.

1. Check your Goals

Having clearly defined goals is key for fat loss. Make sure the goals are realistic and attainable, otherwise it make cause you to get discouraged. Write down a few goals that you’d like to achieve. They should concern both aesthetics and athletic performance. Write down those goals somewhere you can see them regularly. Motivation is key for consistency, and consistency will get you results.

2. Give Benchmark Workouts a Try

Benchmark workouts are set workouts that are used to measure progress. They are all primarily body weight based that focus more on cardio and less on strength. You’ll find them often named after girls – Kelly, Helen, Diane – and they will give you an idea of what your fitness level is.

3. Approach Fitness as a Lifestyle

Crossfit athletes take it extremely seriously and believe in it as a lifestyle. It isn’t something that should occupy just 30-60 minutes out of your day, but rather be ingrained in it. Approaching your training as an integral part of the big picture can help turn your habit into a lifestyle. Getting your diet right, for example, will help you recover and refuel.

4. Try Tabata

Tabata is basically a High Intensity Interval Training workout, but taken to another level. You give it all you’ve got for 20 seconds and then rest for 10. This will keep your heart rate up, and it does wonders on burning fat. Some of the exercises you can do are kettlebell swings, jumping rope, barbell push presses, burpees, etc.

5. Build a Community and Get Support

Surround yourself with like minded people who support and push you.
